The pandemic has changed so many things that we took for granted just two years ago. While there have been a lot of bad changes, there are also some good ones. I miss doing in-person Craft Shows. I loved talking with customers and getting feedback on my products. But, it was a pain in the butt to get ready for them. Set-up was a long and painful process for me. Making sure you had enough inventory finished in case there was a mad rush in a specific item usually meant you brought home a lot of those things. Frequently I would have a mad rush on something I didn’t expect to sell so well and I would stay up late that night making sure I had something for the next day.
The silver lining to that is that online Craft Shows eliminates some of that craziness. Now I can have some work only partially finished. And I can be in the studio making more of a popular item without having to stay up all night after a long day on my feet. Plus, I now have customers from around the country and even the world. Folks in Oregon can shop Vermont artists without leaving home.
Please support my creative Vermont friends by checking out the Women’s Festival of Crafts website for links to their shopping sites. I am sure you will find lots of great gifts for you & yours.
