This spectacular piece was the Silver Medal Winner in the Wedding category for Fire Mountain Gems and Beads 2015 contest. This piece took hours to assemble. Each bead and flower are handwrapped to create a flexible collar.
I was inspired by an Art Deco piece that I saw in Jewelry History book to make my Jewelry2 Boxes. The one shown at right was a piece I made for one of Donna Kato's challenges for her PolyClay booth at CHA. The earrings, necklace, and bracelet are all reversible. The box is constructed so that the pieces fit into and decorate the box when not being worn. This piece won 3rd Prize in the Challenge.
IPCA Synergy 2010 Invitational
This piece was part of the 2010 International Polymer Clay Assoc.'s Synergy Conference Invitational Show. The theme was Connections and I focused on the connection that women have to their purses. The female purse is a homage to Kathleen Dustin. Its 'belt' is a charm bracelet of items that are found in women's purses. The Purse Necklace has purse charms of the most coveted brands and styles of purses with one of Kathleen's center front.
This Coat Hanger was made for our neighbor's first child FINN. Each tile is one of the four seasons at his first home. Each tile is highly detailed. The coat rack was created by my husband from slices of trees from our property. A truely one of a kind piece, because no one could ever afford the price I would have to put on it.
